a party over at gradys

i went over to vist Gradyhouse (proper gander) here in San marc shoot down some of the work he had in his house, his old band "the Carney" had a cd release at his house and played...

It was real fun hangin out and seeing some of the new old folks bs and what not,

View image poit of "Furly" i think made by him, he is a local musician here in san marc a very known character and one i always felt was a true outsider type,, he paints pictures and plays music and works in a resturant, here in town very nice guy, i have a bunch of cd's Grady has sponcered him on his label "Pecan Crazy"
View image" I got your balls", i have always liked this painting a mass colabrative, or "paint on" as he puts it, i think when he got a house here about the same time i did he and his crew made alot of work like this , some turned out pretty good like graffiti comps expressionis with odd cartoon characters and drugs- i don't think they make these any more?

View image an example of Lances work, he has had the most consistances in the Gander, mainly his drawings but he has broke out and started doing these paintings/drawing on wood , they rank among the best next to Dennis Hodges as a very consistanc stable style out of the PG crowd, (worth investigating)
View image a cologe by Shana Mouser, she is from Houston, but was part of the early 90 art crowd here in San marc, I don't know what she does now, but her work appears in PG every issue.
View image Grady painting, i think its an old painting, but he plays alot with language, sorta like squiziod moral mental rhyme plays, i like this one,

i need to photo up some of Bob Taylors work, he is mainly a musican in Chicargo but he was part of the early art crowd in San marc 90, he played in the Carnys who played that night,
