why dark?

| | Comments (8)

some one just posted a message, why so dark? , read it its under this posting in comments "tales of 93" humm
well the idea that humanity is either dark or bright as a time line from postive times to negative, and i as a vessal projecting postive paintings or negative paintings into the world is basicly silly.
Dark creepy horroristic paintings , are a gerna and if anything tell tales of psycholical realism, intertwinded with myths and the supernatural
except where i drew the line i felt was i was falling into kitch, horror kitch.
i like the sensation of the occult, porn, squiziods or haunted places
i am basicaly a poet, not a moralist.
an entertianer at best

You have stated many times on your site that darkness entrances you - the grim, the gothic, the horror, the grotesque, the dark humor, the cosmic joke. My comment simply suggests that there should be a balance between the two - yin yang; we find what we seek, and if your poetic artistic goal is to search for darkness in life in order to express it, that is what you will create. I am simply challenging you to try to focus a similar amount of energy on noticing, observing and portraying the joyous and uplifting moments of humanity. They too have universal appeal, which is what separates great art from masterpieces -universality. Making the jump from vomit to laughter(not at someone else's expense), birth, a moment of inspiration or the like.

Happy..happy..happy rainbow fucking unicorn crystal shit!!!!!! Mr. Chicken, I says that you unload brother..nay!! even disperse with resounding truth the wierdness inside of you. Verily it is God's dominion to provide sucor to the light of heart in the form of heavenly bliss and all. Perhaps naked and downright pornographic indulgences of abstract chickenesses and high strung-out labotimsized goat pumpkins all spewing vile should be thou reparteeeeeeeeee!!!!!!! Loosen upon the world your dark arts and pay no heed to the weary cries from the peanut gallery of lost cupcake souls. Command forth the legions of tongues spouting kitsch miesters in all their glory!! For to do less would indeed be immoral and lead you straight down a path to HELL!!!!!!!

We all need our outlets, huh Seamus? I guess it makes you feel better to put down those with "cupcake souls." Hence, the state of our planet.... You choose to react from a place of fear rather than love. It may bring you a cheap laugh, but how very very sad...

Chicken Man, harken not unto the blasphemous words of He/She Who HAth No NAme!!!! I predict there are indeed hobbitesses about or at least Ol'Scratch. No, thou art commanded by and by to forsake not the gift of dark humor and art that thou hast been given unto thou verily unto the end! A myriad of ghostly farm beasts and drunken recollections of past indescretions are exactly what this bloated heathenistic world needs at this most perilous time. Abandon the intellect and redirect thyself unto divers places. Paint thye mounds of desecration and fuel the tempest of abomination!!!!! For the wrath of God is yours for to exploit. Go forth good preacher and bend over thou needs the naked and runny bottoms of the pansy division lackeys and show them, in the end (no pun intended), the error of their misguided and completely fanciful delusions.

It is a she, Seamus, and I understand your chivalrous defense of chicken man, although I have not attacked him. My suggestion weighs no heavier than your commands for him to continue on his trodden path. He shares a gift that I and you appreciate, so is it a crime to make a suggestion? No more than to preach for him to continue onward, never deviating, exploring or pushing his artistic envelope...

I can't believe the humour eminating from this sight! I'm laughing all the way down the river on a tube with my feet splashing in the mud...this chicken horror tickles me endlessly...this is the real world. Finally a genius to prove it. wheres the chicken church? I'm joining!

I wondered what you got up to after I left. How come I didn't know about the in at the river place? I think I went tubeing there once in 93 or early 94! it may have been in New Braunfels...

Who's after me pot o' gold?!!!!
