One of my favorite stories , about when i was right out of Highschool was when i spent one evening, being Christmas eve 89, i was over at a friend of mine's house , Nick, he was an artist back then , bigger than i, we were wrapped up in the Giger-goth b.s. making paintings mainly he, i was in to Hellraiser , well that night we started painting in his garrage we graduwated in 88, but were some of the unfortunate fools left behind to do who junior college, he San Jack and i Alvin, at the time i wasn't an art major Nick was, his work at the time was slick angst ridden stuff Giger-Shelie. he listen to Bauhouse and the Cure, i never hear of that music i was in the beginings of my AC/DC coma, but being in Nicks presants you felt embarised to like Jock music so we listend to Bauhouse , which i like now, That night was special to me cause we got really fucken drunk and stayed up all night and walked around the next morning, buzzed and like sick, but in the process we made a bunch of extremely drunk expressionisticly violent art ,. I rember nick throwing the canvas around in this jesture that seemed amuseing now, whipping this rag of a painting on the ground in a fit, while "dark entrys" played, it was alll fun and great in a comical jesture, it seem like this was art in suberbia,
our parents were discused of course, wonder if were we ever going to be adults, junior colege slacker drunks we were..
but cool art drunks and thats the way its going to be,,
i don't know what ever happen to the work, i painted alot that night ,
I Rember sitting around in the wee hours of the morning, buzzzed wondering what kinda of beginging is this, its not cold in Texas in winter ,just cool, sometimes in Houston it can stillbe miseralbe.

Ah yes the good old days. I think I might have one or two of those paintings still in my possession. I will get a picture to you if you want. I remember that we had access to a fridge in my parents garage and it was full of Heineken and other goodies. It is always a good thing to have well off parents who buy lots of good beer if you are a struggling suburban wannabee artist for sure. I remember my sister woke me up very early the next morning and yelled at me because I was delaying opening presents because of my headache. She had a fit and told me I ruined Christmas. I think I drank even more wine at Christmas dinner that evening to ease the throbbing pain. Appropriately I listened to that song by Bahaus called "Hair of the Dog". You know that might be a good painting idea come to think of it. Say, do you remember our suburban art heroine "Laurie Whitehead"?

oh yea lori whitehead, her angst ridden watercolors of children clowns and parades , she inpired me alot,, don't you rember walking around that morning down your block all buzzed at dawn, i our parents gave us a good beet'in for that, yea the good days, i sure miss those beet'ins

Oh yeah, I do. I was like somewhere between 5 am to 7 am, not sure. I was quite strange. I wonder is Laurie is still alive. The last I heard, Mark Howell's employer (Dennis) at the local video store was her middle aged drinking buddy. She was on some type of pain medication supposedly and they would get together and drink, and stumble around and pass out eventually. Now that would be an interesting painting. Dennis lived in the neighborhood (Whitehall) by the old elementary school. Laurie would work in a realty office that was set up like a lighthouse and I always imagined her up there, wasted, looking out on this imaginary psychadelic suburban, clown filled, paradise.

well the view from the white house has got to suck now, that place is nothing but a mass sububia,. i wonder what ever happen to Steven Roque, or Rena Salsado?

Ok G, I did some research. Rene is still in Dallas, he said he's doing ok. I havent seen him in a long time though. He's living with Eddie's brother (from college). Do you remember Eddie? Derek or Kyle and Laurie would I think. Steven Roque I have no idea what happened to him? It would be interesting to find out. Finally Laurie, had some serious medical problems and had to come out of the lighthouse so I guess the glory days are officially over. In the end the disease that is spreading, known as suburbia, wins out in the end!

you know we should do an insearch of, "steve Roque" what happen? i think i heard back in early nintys that he went to a mental hosbital for depression, and what about wes hicks, and our good buddie Pat Masterson!
those post highschool days were funny, laying around here in my studio floor i wonder, has anything changed from highschool,. i think i need a new crusade!

Yes we need to get Bingham and then go hunt Steven down. I am sure he never forgave me because it took me several weeks to make a tape for him. He took back the tapes and never wanted to speak to me again. Very dramatic! F-wood is a very changed place. Have you been back lately? We should do something on the mythos of F-Wood. For instance do you remember Peggy K? Do you remember that whole wacky scene. (For anyone else reading: this ended up VERY badly). Yes and what did happen to Masterson? I remember the studio you created in the back yard and the huge nudes and movie stills you worked on. (For anyone else reading: George fought with himself on being an artist. His first study was philosophy and psychology).

peggy k? what was that?
when i go down there next week for dental stuff, i will call his house and see what happen to him, steven, bingham, is he in austin still?
hey check and see if pat is on the net,?

Bingham is still here in Austin, he's doing pretty good. I'd like to know what happened to Steven though. I can't find any new stuff about Pat. Peggy was Sterlings mom, remember? I think you met her online on a bulletin board?
