over the last week i went over to Brenham and met this collector, antiques. I read this article in thsi magazine or newpaper about his house, real cute and fancy early Texas stuff, What struck me about this article was he colected "vintage Blue Bonet paintings like mini one, it was odd, but the article had his like wall of them all tightly aranged, and it did look good. What struck me about the article was Was there an "vintage Blue Bonnt painting? "
You see in Texas, Blue Bonnets are a wild flower and ol ladys in Art leagues and crafter make pastual paintings of blue bonnets in this "bob ross" style, for over 100 years, so there is alot of them .
So is there a vintage look threw out time or time to time. No matter what one paints " an apple" it will look differnt every 40 years i suspect, since blue bonets are an establised Texas genra then there are hord of ol ladys making them with out much creative insight to the constructions, they addopt what tricks or techniques out there, do these "techniques" change , yes
as the colector found in older paintings but they still looked like a blue bonnet painitng, and rember he found old throw away ones.
