I like a little privatcy, so i am going to have to build this super fence , around the yard and also another chicken head fence up the drive way, dareing the chruch to come and take it, but man the weather looks great! I gues as for now the new plan till at least late may is to just watch what happen next door cause as soon as that puppy drop its gonn expose alot of our back side and i want to clean things up a bit, make it look pretty.

All this means i have to go an a massive chicken head production,

Ive been watching alot of old Tilton vedeo clips off the net, man this guy was great, the way he acted the gestures its incredible, i knew back then i should tapped alll that , its impossible to get them now.

well, there moving the house next to us now, the one on the left is gone, and now the one on the right, the Babtists are out for blood, to expand and we are next, what will they do?

, the church is going to try and claim our driveway , ( an make things uncomfortable so we would sell) and which means, it could get nasty, they want the chicken house bad, to tear it down and make a big ol' parking place for the church. , plus alot of other new devlopements have been happening today, i am affaird to say the Van horn campian might have to be postponed, cause i cann't leave with this expecting zunami comming our way, we gotts to batten down the hatches and see what they throw,

its had my pretty little head spinning like crazy trying to stradgies as to what gonna happen , i am sorta cought between to things likeing the chicken house and saying fuck it sell out and move on,. of course it would make my name mud in the San Marcos comunity alot of people like the chickenhead house as some kinda folk art landmark, and it would mean chickengeorge is gone from the area, for ever ,.but
there is a side of me that says this is just the begining, i have just begun to get insain about all this shit,

last week

"Black Pond"

well, thist is the las week here in san marcos...

i will be over in Brenham sorta wrapping things up, there is about 8-12 paintings still not done, i might fininsh them off and make them the last set in April, , cause i don't know how long its going to be before i do another update? it means i have to bring my computer down ther to up load photo, or i have to figure out some other ways,,.
I think its best to sorta calm down and just do nothing, the typical trend is to simply start over with a sketch book and start drawing smal pen sketchs of ideas for paintings and ? , usesally with alot of coffe and music playing, i I can come up with a whole slue of projects to do. One advancement the ebay deal sorta seduced me iinto doing was this rapid style of painting on paper, which is realy what i have been trying to achieve on canvas but some how i always over work the things.

So its going to be a long dry haul for the site i think, and i will reamered on the other side some where with alot of work to post,.

this looks to be the official last weekend of art production i cannt squease any more outta me, one this all these ebay posting started was working on paper which i have never done before much , i am painting faster and i don't fuss over the detial and over paint stuff to death ,. so i guess when i get out there in i am just going to stick with paper, and see what happens

yeaks, this morning i woke up to this wierd russleing outside my room., well i went out there and in the bamboo forrest i have outside my building i saw what looked like two possums in broad daylight wresttling in a sort play with each other, back in the bamboo forst, ,., humm, then this other one, was there off to the side,., sorta like the nervious one saying " like ok guys the gig is up man, it day time its time to hide,." possum act very caustiously, when i noticed that thay noticed me, , they stopped and stared over to this pile of tin i have backed up in the bamboo forrest, i start throwing twigs at it but they seemed to not find a place to hide, which means that this was new territory, to them, all three.
They wondered around under the flapped over tin, i saw one exposed, and thought there is a shot, and lobbed a ceder block over at it trying to kill it, ,,. this possum was old, so old it lost all its black and white marks and it jus looked a grey, big too.,.,, but it missed an pauseds as to be hit and move under the rolled up wire fence i had , what to do? so i walked over to the Pac and Sac , got some coffee and returned they were still there, but moving and i watched them , they knew i was there , sorta confuse, and they, being all three strayed out to the corner of the bamboo forset and on to there way,., where? in brosd daylight in a sorta suberia? certian death , certian death for a possum, God i hate this.

Well the trip over To the Mayors office was fun, tobay i could't have stayed longer,. This trip would have not have been possible with out the help of my girlfriend Tonya, thanks

The main reason i went out there is to meet Toney, i have been buying his work off ebay, and i knew this oprunity wouldn't come around often.

one of the funny notes from the whole gig was when at Butch's after the do-Nanny art fair we all went back to his house and there was party, music and filmfest. well one of the dealers who came down from up north, who bought outsider/folk art started talking to Toney, i was standing next to him , Toney went on about "what a man does either he works for the devil or works for God, ,in the long dramtic pauses," i sorta nodded along saing "thats right ,ahhh hummm,. " after awhle i gues the guy got uncomfortable and left,. cause i put him on the spot asking him who works for? suspiously,.

I did end up talking to this one guy Terry K, he was a colector/artist, his work and alot of it out there, sorta gets wrapped up in these really bright oaxacan colors with dots and stainglass comps and tighly drawn folky cartoons, i don't get it?, i figured if your out in the rual parts of Alabama, then you should be the country.. Mud, Pine needles, and old ponds.

there is something about reacting these simple principles that would create a Toney or a Butch.
Thats one of the appeals about looking at Toney's work his warning signs, of scary women and big old hidden gators feel very believeable.

Over all i do love that counrty , we ended up gettin lost twice on the drive over there and outta there. This kinda coutryside is primalry the settings of alot of my work, , why i am going out to the desart to paint swamp seens , i don't know why?

but i love the redbrown pineneedles and rotted fallen tress into the black waters.. so i will probaly come back around to Pittsview and Seale if not for a vist but maybe to set up studio..

Ive been sorta off the net, working on the house, It looks to be the end of an art era, whats next something to do with people , poitrates of some of my favorite evanglists, sorta studies in gestures, I can imgine when i get out to West Texas, if i saddle up with Ran Horn i am going to drive strait into ol cowboys and a religious landscape, why,? i would love to make a body of more realistic cityscapes about the myths of Van Horn, sorta a documntary on the city, . so there is goin to be a ly over till i can set up, studio then find net acess and then figure on how to up load my images, to the site, ..

well, i am back at it again tryin to figure out what the fuck i am doing , , paint wise, i took a nap earlyer and woke up thinking there must be two worlds one lives in, and this odd place where , once you wake, you start to realise shit, the only metaphore for it is like a car , it has to go fast to fly over the speed bumbs, , but once stopped its a struggle to get over the first bump, i guess that must be the time lapse between sleep to consciencesness, ? things seem erriely phisical that , we dismiss the small thigs in sake of speed
but oh the ride of excitement , till we crash...

House work is in full swing, , i am hacking ,p paintings and nail stuff together, and the weather is great for it, i am gonna let nothing distract me from it. and i also figured out about the historic commision taking our street its gonna happen, . so i have to be prepared for the results, alot of stuff has been happening over the last couple of months, like the church trying to get us to sell the house to them, "one way or another", with the house down next door, it raised a couple of eyebrows at the meeting last night. It was fun standing in front of these folks sppeeking about the chickenhouse, as a matter of fact i might just go to all the meetingings and talk about thc chicken house, whats there policy about it,,.what the fuck are they gonna do with me when i start putting 8ft plus tall painted wood sculptures out front of jason from friday 13th or fat preachers. which is realy one of my new ideas of stuff i want to make, statues like folk status of the contempory heroic but just perswade people to put them up all over san marcos, like a Roman colusuime.

Well, i am burning off all those twigs in the yard, and boy there is alot off them,
I am getting all anxious about going out to the Big Bend, i think i am gonna measure it by the amount of wieght i loss over the whole ordeal, right now i weight 220, i wanta go down to 165, i cann't come back till i hit that mark, then i will be good and seasoned

New/Old Texas landscapes

well, i was going to go to the do=nanny over in Pittsview AL, but its been suddenly canceled (me being able to go),
i got all geard up for it , completeing some old work i started, i suppose now with the weather i am going to prepared to shut things down a bit, clean up the studio cause boy do it smells wierd,
i just broke a bottle of hotsause, in here that along with paint fumes, smoker grease, and coffee, and its humid too, we need just sun here for a while let shit dry up a bit
Too bad about the DoNanny, i wanted to see this artist, Tooney, i have been gettiing his work off ebay and such , it seems like a small art fair out there to go,
the only thing i am still working on is these old obseseions from , the movies, this one "Children of the Corn" i have it on DVD, a dn can frease frame it on the computer, there must be like a houndred or so like paintings locked up in this movie, i am going to post two on ebay soon

hummm, other than that , not even drinking beer is too fun,

well, where to go to next, i am going to be hanging around the studio for this month just working on the house mainly, and sorts revising these oils on paper, that i started over in the RED10 studio, i like them alot, i am almost gonna dump painting on canvas for paper now, and play games with stains and polyurthain, burnt up, i really like the results , i guess its my attept at Watercolor basicly, i want to go back and finnish up these old theames i started last year, and put down volume one in the New/old Texas landscapes theame,
the big bend adventure is looking more clearer, i am gonn attept somethign i have never done before just drive out there with my geer and set up where ever, and coast the seen as a whacky artist, ,
i am even pondering getting a job and renting for a while , stop drinking and lose weight, like 50 plus pounds,.
its gonna be deep desart training!!!
i told vence this a while back when he asked me what i was gonna do,
i told him i am gonna wake up early in the morning walk out into the desart with my burlap moses get up and fall to my knees , grabbing two rattle snakes and lash my back with them screaming,
"please Lord let me have a good day painting lead me not into temptation please!" then go back to may studio hut and make another chicken painting.

View imageduring the BBQ on Sunday this crew of younge'n came and shot this comercial, it was just me and brandon there looking at all these hip hop model hoe types walking around and poseing in our studio, it was fun to watch, (its those special moment where you know exactly how old you are) i just keep quit and buttered up my hotwings on the smoker, . nodding my head alot.

As the evening progress, and to bad i didn't get any photos of it but me and scott got into our typical loud conversations about art and what not, except it was about the creative devlopement of Jeff Dell, who hung out with us that evening, he is printer proff at SWT, , i told jeff he should just go into simply drawing and painting, , prints seem to ridget and labor intencive. alot of questions were put for over me questioning the unique expresive value of a print over painting, that old arguement again, I rember once getting into this insain arguement about the computer graf guy saying computer images were just as valueable as a painting, , ahhhhh! what ever!
i was drunk and i wanted to bring it on home about what I considered true training, in the advancement of what you might come up with or become, (one thing i said to Mr Dell was he was a classical pianist doing punk rock) , printing, seems to depend on machiens to much and there is this addition aspect to it, i am more of a primativeist, sorta preforming caveman psychology on Mr Dell, he kept his cool as ussal, but we are still friends i hope,. with scott there egging me on i could address these issues, almost to a point of me yelling this, Brandon got in on it, and his girlfrind kat, it was all out free fall on confronting my "narrow mindedness" as Mr Dell put it..
but it was fun, ...
