well it looks to be the end of may i can tell now everything is in layover till i arrive over in San Antonio. I am spending the week here in austin tending to my girlfriends pets in this suberan rent house its been fun sitting here petting the dog for hours on end,. also doing alot of writting etc

Eric has been fun corrsponding with

i have gotten all excited about making this new Biblical style paintings called "It's in the Bible!" starting this next week, I suppose this next week i am going to be in Austin looking after these pets house sitting, for a week, I am trying to pull together a decade of art production sorta a ten year wrap up bio, cause when i hit SA i am going to make it a change of lifestyle, so to speek.

I have bought a couple of Eric's pieces, one thing i love about ebay is you can develope this odd ball collection there is a lot to chose from, so i have this special line of work i collect of sorta muted colors figures sorts ruff, Eric made one painting of a snake handler that sorta kick off the collection.

Its been a hard search on ebay to find some one to devlope routines with, i tryed it with Stevo View imagea local artist but he didn't get the humor of the bits,,. when i look at all the art in the folk art sections and outsider bs, i don't think me or Eric would fall in either, but in this new art i coined "Redneck art" (well not nessarly new) meaning the Comedy central type sorta extreme blue collar humor put to art its more on the witt.

I thought for sure there would be more of this art out there on ebay but its rare alot of the folk art on there fall into the crafters, but man i have seen some really gay things on there, i even have section in my colecting on the gayest pieces ever! those are a real hard to find

Well, I am going to start working over at the ware house Red 10 again, VM is over there so I get to hang out an paint for free cause we are dong this collaborative , about 8 paintings total, its gonna be tuff cause time is limited, I can tell so I am going to have to trash old ways of doing things.

But it feel the humidity is back up, Drek has already been giving me lectures about coming outta the woods and being in big city life, (personal hygiene etc) I am just letting all hang out for the summer then bamb!
When I went to Marathon I lived in this old barn and painted that summer didn’t give a fuck about nothing, (in the hygene dept) who cares you live out in the desert, didn’t wash clothses the whole summer, I think it was the peek of my drinking bs, almost died from it one night
That’s one thing I love about west Texas, the bright desert morning, waking up in one of those, you just don’t feel sick,.
Well one summer evening this new bank that opened up in Marathon had a reception , , man what a spread I must have taken the record of drinking to many beers that night too, it went on for hours, I ended up passing out on the couch in back of the barn I remember slowly waking up and coughing and leaning over an and throwing up all that good brisket , man what a waste!, then went back to sleep sort amazed, man I could have choked to death!, the next morning I just woke up hit the ground with a hose , cause the flies were bad there. And went on painting , I guess since its so dry out there your body is always thirsty and drinking beer seems like nothing.

i went over to vist Gradyhouse (proper gander) here in San marc shoot down some of the work he had in his house, his old band "the Carney" had a cd release at his house and played...

It was real fun hangin out and seeing some of the new old folks bs and what not,

Well i figured out, whats going to happen this sumer , i will be gone from the chicken house for a while, , expected leaving date Aug. this time for real, so i habve alot of work to bust out this sumer, alot!

Rooming with D
he is real neat and organized, clean, I have a small room there and I plan on working and getting my shit together, mainly lose some weight , It sorta reminds me of this one time?
Well when D used to live here in the chicken house, actually pre chicken, when we first got the place, I had a whole bunch of guys living here, D had one room, and these two other guys lived in these two other rooms, one guy, . called Vietnam Todd, called this way cause he dresses like a vet , and was obsessed with the Vietnam war, about my age, late twenties at the time, . he was kinda a pitiful soul, and alcoholic ,totally unemployable a thief and had a bad temper when he was drunk, but when sober was extremely nice, too nice, and a bum, why he was here? well as the months rolled on watching him come up with rent was like watching an handicap climb a steep bunch of steps up to a building, he would barley make it and it was a struggle for him to find work, so one of the problems was he needed to get drunk every night and who was going to be the person to spong off of, we all got tired of it, well one night. real late, he snuck into D's room to look for some weed, the problem was D was there and watched him while he was sleeping, he asked him ,what he was doing?
"ah its cool man I am just looking for some weed, didn't you have some"
"no I don't" D said,
"ahh come on I know you have some, hook me up man please"
"I don't have any"
"alright then "
As D layed there in bed thinking about what just happen he realized nam'todd had just attempted a burglar his room for what ever, , this made the wrath of D steamed!
and he ripped up out of bed and went out to my shed and banged on the door
I had just calmed down , about went to sleep, when bang bang
"George you need to take care of this shit! your the land lord! " yaya
he said nam todd broke into his room. And apparently D confronted him out in the kitchen after the event, Tod was defensive trying to turn it around on D'wrath saying "hey man its all cool I am sorry"
apparently D was so steamed that nam Todd in a Christ like move ask D to punch him to blow off some tension and throw D's aggression off.
Well he did and Nam Todd was a skinny little guy , so his body flew against the bathroom door and he collapsed there on the floor crying and acting like he was dieing, ( overexsurated)
that’s when D went out to my shed all worked up.
when I heard this it was like one of those special moments when I hear the Gods of Jason of the Friday 13th kinda like the moment when I found them dogs out in my backyard after waxing one of my birds
"What the fuck! hold on I am going to take care of this"
D went back to his room as I went into to he kitchen and saw Nam tod on the floor,
"Get the fuck up you fucking loser, I know what you did we all know your been steeling from us," giving him love kicks to his loving ass.
Nam Todd was crying and shit.
"quit kicking me please stop, "
(for years all my friends would repet that phraze)
but eventualy he knew the poor ol me crap wasn't working and he started to come around , and I sat his ass down and said
"listen buddy you outta here tomorrow, "
but I have no money I can’t leave, what about my stuff"
"well this is what happens when you don't make no money you become a street person and street people can’t lug around their crap, so you got’s to sell off all this junk"
Its really sad when a person, who is an idiot, can’t manage their collection of junk, an starts to burden you with responsibilities .
I told him "well your going to go wild , you have no money and people with money can afford places to store there stuff, and since your broke you gonna have to burn the fat off, to go wild , this is what you have been doing its the evolution to become a street person, hello!!"
As we got to know nam-todd more we found out he was supposed to be in college, collecting money,from his folks but never bother to tell them he failed out years ago, I think his folks thought he was getting a doctors degree by now but apparently, so I knew he's folks number, and said I was going to call them to tell them the gig was up your son is a loser and a liar, , you wanna talk to him ,.
convincing NamTodd this was the best course of action was like, Redneck reality testing its all here all now bitch ,what the fuck is wrong with you, look you life is a mess, quit lying to yourself!
needless to say he did call his folks i was standing near by( for some reason i think thet knew al along) and the whole ordeal came to ahead and he was outta there the next day, what ever happen to him? I heard he joined the guard.

So the moral of the story is don't go in to D's bedroom late at night, not even to cuddle!

Well word has just came down from the Lord, it comands me to go to SA an set up camp and bust the Vioce of God, D's balls, so the chicken is on its way , and its gonna be full steam ahead in to a pruduction frenzzyfucjk

which means also the Van Horne deal is kaput, i have this breif sumer here to knock out basicly three large art projects , May has arvived!
I guess with the move down there, i am going to clean myself up a bid, and start over, (mainly get in shape ) this lifestlye is killing me!, i need to speed things up a bit, . Plus living with VOG=D and his roommate Richie Budd , they is real clean so i am going to also be clean to, they sat me down to tell me how the rules are about all this.
So
that being said,
the three major projects for the sume are
1. get done with the work over in Brenham , work on new site!
2.Green lake pictures, this new body of work "texas skinny dipping porno babes in ponds"
3.this colection of work created out of VM's sketch book

This is gonna be real fum VM, an artist in town here, going to school, meet him threw the warehouse. We are going to start this colbrative based on the switching of these sketch books, i got one of his its like studing real ramblings and insain duddles, with a rhyme vers flare, i am gonig to just pic some ideas from it and start making paintings out of them,.

So this will be the last sumer here in San Marcos for a while, the sumer of 2005, , it will be alot like last year , humm what happen, ?
but the long stay here will finaly be over and on to another space, fall-2003 till now,

i also have a ton of chicken trees to mount around San Marcos. so i am going to leave my mark!

Adventures on Ebay,
Well i went and posted a piece i have always dreampt of

the chicken bone piece, see this lot for details. One of the funny bits about the ebay deal is what some people post, ??? I was showing a frind of mine this and he said, "man you need to get a life, george your net life is more exciteing than your real lifeand man thats sad" he's kinda a proud go getem type, ol buddie now kinda Christian . he got sorta erked by the porno pictures i have in my studio, , (only a couple of old mags i have been cutting up to uses as "sexy" figure studies in ponds) but none the less he went on about how sad it is that this all i do, i got a lecture about seizeing life and courage etc.
Ahhh, i came back, all the people that live life ussual don't have the time to capture it, or more of less make a painting about it, you have to be a real nerd to do that, have that kinda patiencs. and to be good at it you have to realy think that this, the work or what ever is better than actually doing it, i could see a longing nerd paint a million sea scapes having never driven down to the beach, and see one person make one seascape painting while being on the beach.

this artist, heather duncan ?? , i cann't make out her name,. When i got into hunting out all these Halloween art finds on ebay, I mean you can get these things cheep, i ran across this one , mainly the one with the head cut off, i email the lady and she told me about the piece, but she wasn't a oddball halloween artist more a decrative painter, art leauger type(at least thats what i gathered from he webstie) so i asked if i could make a copy of it, (painting) i got back this real long email explaining the legality of it then a copyright and then a percentage when its made into print, plus she had to be reconised or credited, i though, what the fuck she dosen't own scracrows and witchs . i just dropped the whole deal , but then i thought man this person should be honnored i would want to copy them, who the hell would want to rip her off anyway,. Oddly after a month she and Davis did a colabrative over this piece and Davis did one, sold it, and she did another , put them together one lot,. i got these two for cheep, she sold them to me after all, I do like the two pieces, but what i find as strange is what i might like about them as art, she may not, looking at the rest of her work she was a serious painter type, bad or folk awkward may not have been part of her style. I like them for ther ridginess and thinly painted figures , blockness of colors, this may not be precieved as complemtary(if i had to explain it)., i think what orginally cought my eye about the first one was that the headless scarecrow looked like a black man! thats right i emailed her to ask her that question, you go figure.

(so if she reads this i don't want a slander suit or copyright lawsuit for showing these on the net i make no money on these and this is called art crittism in todays climate art and bio arn't nessarly seperate its all the same, email me if you have any problems )

It reminds me of this one storied back in the mill, with Charlie, in Floyd, Charlie found this painting in this garrage sale real wierd, well this old lady sorta a battle axe of a trollete harden mother type did them, he bought a coulpe of her work and took some on consignment in the gallery. well when he had them up (looked like bad landscapes) she and her husband would come by once a month and complain about where they were hung and what he was doing to make her a million, it was halarious!,. she would stroll on in with this bull frog look on her on her face sorta intimadated by where she was and would start mumbling about this isn't righ or that, after a while Charlie just had enough and gave here back her work even the ones he owened cause she upped the price from 30$ to 500$, . i remeber telling him "well you wanted to deal with artists form the outside well here is one"

chicken house update

well its offical the historic district has left the chicken house out, which means a battle with the church if need be,

i just got the news, so the whole ordeal is over.

Which leads me to this sumer, what to do? its gonna be a bizar sumer here, but i am ready to split, I really like these new figure studies i am into, i got a couple of them up on ebay but i don't want them to sell, i think i will start just amassing these pics for a show some where, like skinny dipping, it reminds me when i first started doing this kinda work but i just wasn't skilled enough to exicute them. but now humm whoaa the posiblitys are endless, thats one thing i am begining to notice , now that i am gettin older, is that there are alot of fine women out there, but, hey get sexual or try, forget about it, its better to just look from afar, thats the best its gonna get, it takes a pornographic mind to apprecite it., especial here in this town, its a college town the women here out number the men and its cheerleading capt of Texas, a man could work himself to death stairing at all the fine women around here, .
Which leadss me back to some of my first artistic ambitions, copy girl mags cause the impulse to marvel at fleash was omnipresant in my brushwork, there is something about that, that excitement, to keep ones brush focused in on these details, and try and acentuwate them on canvas, a pornographic mind would, or a photo of something so sexy could hold you there and try and actualise it,
but then again it could have been just horny or something,.
but none the less, these women
who are they how did they get into these magazine, this world filled with cheep exibitionist over sexed glamor stricken women, its all to bizar and all to easy to paint.
I think thats one hill every body sorta goes over when does life becom less exciting, or less sexy I guess the same could be said for art, , as i believe , if your not excite by your owen work , well it shows, . ( that was one of the moderist grips about the return to the child BS)
There must be some kinda plot or graph to it , maturityvs excitement = dull vs imaturity
