last of Aug

well Aug is comming to a close, i am still haveing trouble up loading crap around here, i might have to zip back down to San Marc to do some, but i have been working alot, started this whole new line of paintings under the Green Lake deal, naked babes in ponds skinny dipping kinda stuff,
i cann't think of any stories i guess i am all drained out for the moment, nothing wicked or perverted , , i hav'nt been drinking as much either, well a couple of beers a night just to calm down and all, Dreks has been trying to whip me in shape but who knows,
i am starting to eye ball a couple of venues around twon, so its like starting all over again, and figureing out what direction to go,
humm be like the old masters, thats the way to go, i am in San Antonio,

well,i am headed back down to Sa, just waiting to take my show down over at the tatoo place,

The show there was good, i just wheeled and dealed the whole thing, the way i wannted to,.
before i left, i started breaking out the PFA's and start cooking up some new ideas for painting, i think there will be a whole seperate secret line of painting just based on these assemlages, SA is the perfect place to put them in , , mn there must be alot of old antique stores ther, and the buildings and old house are amazing, its almost perfect for my art,.
There is something old and crusticly hidden in that town.

I am working on a buch of new work, sorta, plus i am going to be shooting stuff (drawing) over to ebay, cheep,. to help everything out ,

this week

well, i am still in SA, in my new studio called SAFS, or San Antonio French street, , at least thats the way i am signing the first of the canvas made here

Its a small garrage i share ith Richie Budd, i have covered up his sculptures, , and are just blasting away, a couple of nights ago, i even got a six pack and tryed to get drunk and paint , i might be getting to old, but needless to say, i am in full swing, Sa is way differnt than San marcos, its alot older of a town and this place has character and a lot less trafic, the heat is bad, Me and drek sit around and eat Tacos and watch the many religious stations on TV, three new ones poped up i dind't know about day-star AB-n and some one outta houston the Ab-n one, is the seven-day adventist station and its strange!, day star is TBN rival outta dallas, its very Dallas.

when i get down to San marc i will post a bunch of new work and throw some ebay deals out,

Drek has been putting me back in line i feel thiner and more like this is going to go somewhere,
i have about ten paintings in rotation right now,
and some new sculpture project in the blueprints,

well i was sitting around yesterday and this sales man calls from art exchange dot com,

These people are relentless!, i have been talking to them for over 7 years i must be on there "to call list", go check out ther site, they are an operation that sells or markets art work like Art&Buisness,mag, they depend on the internet for marketing and what not but to join and let them market you along with ???? amount of artists, you pay almost 500 dallars,
it was fun toying with this young guy trying to get him to admit he is full of crap!, what the fuck would i want to do with you fucks!, so it put him on the defencive, he believes in his company, plus he is a sales man, he kept throwing me the stats about their earnings and marketing, and about how they are the greatest art offialio'nos out there, i had to ask the guy what publication do you guys consider as a good art resourse, he menting art and buisness news, i said are you fucking crasy or something,
the only way i could get the guy to admint there was somehting wrong was asking him "why would i want to do this based on the way i operate," , he keept apealing to ambitions and the majic art words "exposeure and contacts" whoooaao,
i keep breaking him down for examples, and said well i can do better and its for free, , it was fun toying with the guy, i went on to tell him, the his site is made fun of and so is "art&busness news" and the worst sux ass gernra art merchants out there, now one in the folk or contempory world would find anything desireable about this, the guy was miffed why?
i had to use the metaphore of the the hamburger, you can get a really good one from you local privately owned sandwhich shop or BBQ joint, larger better more work was put into it, or you can go eat at Mc Donolds, which one do you think is going to taste better,?
he said the local,
i said well your trying to perswade me based on how many people eat Mcdonolds as weight alone, and how much the burgers have made money?
the art that his organisation has is well less than interesting, but people buy it probly more than or more interesting art,
i told him the problem is i am into art to much and he needs to find some artist who is and idiot and thinks like one, he can make borring art for borring people, of course the guy got sorta buturbed by this,
the conversation when on for an hour or so, he was real determined not to give up and would switch geers back to seeling his advertising plans, like a low payed creditcard sales man,
i told the guy
hey when you get off work today and you drive by that hastings or bookstop or some book place go over to the magazine rack and look at an art furom or something, and wonder "what the fuck is this shit?" and then when you done with that you can pull up the southwest art mag, ,
but he did mentioned art and antiques , some one gave me a stack of those onces , i didn't mind them,.
I rember one time when i was heading out to Floyd Va , i stopped in Columbus Mis, i had a relative there and got to explore the town i ran across this old victoian style artist who lived on the square of the town , strong and arched eye bitch with alot of opinions and advise on how to be and artist, , very freindly, and inviting, but her view of art was your sole goal as an artist is to be picked up in to mass prints, and trying to figure out what the public wanted, she had a coachy like style, i think she said she was a retired school teacher, he work was this retro victorian style like old proches and ladys sittting in ther parlors type of stuff,
I told her i painted chickens, , which to her was admiting i suck, and she went all hog wild giving me art advise, which was fun in itself, , at the end when she gave me this speell i asked her about , what about this other world, like the contempory showing space right next to your shop, a theater/gallery comunity deal
"ahhh ,!" she said
"well since your so great why havn't you got a show over there?"
what is that place what do they do over there?
she fell short on opinions about it,
and i sorta got the imprssion, she tryed to do something , but in small towns like this, they operate like clubhouses, and her work wouldn't fit in, nor her character,.
Kinda like the phonesalesman,
who comes from these other backgrounds sorta pround and acomplished people, but don't know shit about art, but have all the confidence in the world on how to sell it.

update

after last night, the energy siezed to reclaim and pronounce is louder than every.,

Its been hard to locate a computer, so i am zipping back to my old studio , to do the up loads and what not,

i have an old garrge to paint in and things are rolling right along,
so what grand project to make?
i like the idea of Babies now, like crying babys wanting there mama!!
wheres my mama!

I talked to VM and he has changed his look back to realism so the current VM thing is shelved, and for all the left over project of Brenham? i am slowly putting them back together for this massive line of work, ?

I can imagine now just playing around and comming up with paintings around this Tintorro book i have try and go back and become an olmaster, but my version of it

Anxious weekend

i am sorta just picking up where i left off, from being over in Brenham, these are three paintings i am doing on this baby and this monkey, the baby is taking a wild wiz on the monky, and there are four more sketches to go along with it

well this weekend has been tuff, manic loveflights i had over tonya pushed pushed me into utter neausiam,. part jealious and part morning for a feeling that could this could be no more, i hate it ! but things do move on and its like the greater pain to its inverse the greatest pleasure, somthing of practises of the heart could only explain,.

It remined me of some of more obsessive moments, back in the days , I could now understand what its like to want to kick someones ass, so bad as to relieve the depression that would make onself deathly sick, sorta like something has been taken from you and you need to find the culpriate and scare them away or die trying, , its an obsesion's fight for survival which manifests itself on anther person, something only jerry springer could admire, part drama and part therapy, but all redneck

well, its going to be minimal living, actually nice, i am not slleping on the floor and worrying about click beatles and what not.

look its a clean room,! Drek is way clean about the place, he is giving me lectures on how fold napkins and asking people premision for taking their cream for coffee, he said in order for me to improve my pathic life i need to start now , and nip these bad habits in the bud, .!!

i have also quit drinking, for a while , just don't feel like getting fucked up, hummm,

I have already started trying to figure out what i am going to be doing next, there few sketchs are some ideas,

drek said i am in the big city now and its time to take my art serious, no more chickens dancing around in there owen vomit, type of stuff, so i am thinking about just making figures,

i am searching for a laptop so i canset up more easly

Well the move is on!
this is going to be a small room i am in , and i have a mess of work to untangle,. one idea, i have about three weeks to fermint something and go for it,

one thing i think i am going to do for the site is a weekly art investigation type of deal, like a profile on somebody , in SA, i know i want to go vist Symore Perkins, plus others!

and, to put things in perspective i am going to be reorganising all these sets of work.....

like all the projects i was supposed to do this sumer,,
the VM project, my colabrative with Vince, only mustered a few sketches of ideas.
Green lake is probably the most exciteing thing work wise, and my return to porn inspired paintings.
and the last of the Breham paintings these 12 i was unable to complete to.

so these left over projects are going to be whats left over , to deal with,.
