Cleaning up my studio a bit,

well over the last couple of wek or so, i have gotten to know some pretty special ladys here

Last night i went over to the Blue Star Brewery and had some beers, and talked to some of my new lady friends i have meet up here on campus, it was a ballsy evening for chicken , i think the newly rewarded beer buzz made me lay it out, in what dating is all about, and the interaction of folks,,

One of the things i have been doing is hanging out in the cermaic studios gabbying about sex, life, and hunmor and occasioanly getting a rise from some of the lady folk there, so i have made some friends,.

I always belived some of my best art production is hanging around in a workshop with abounch of older ladys talking about life, and drinking snicker doodle coffee and coming up with new dramas to make work off of,. my new friends are much younger than me, and i have enjoyed there smils and laughs as well as there attenion.

The first person i got to know was Alicia, she is a devorcee from Georgia who happen to find her way back to college to try and get a cermaic degree she has taught cermics before, and wants to quit the suberian life for a more balanced studio life, she has the Georgian draw and direct way of laying it down buisness but an incredable sweet heart, , she is my age, and my brows did raise a bit as to who she is hummm, ,
well the stats are there?
while
All along Scruffy is barking and hammin it up, drawing me into sexualy provoicative comedy bits,
Scruffy is real special,
a real firecraker
but its to much for chickens little heart, and its best to just walk away from it,,
but damn that ass!

so
Getting to know Alicia sorta warmed up this other lady named julie, i figured that, i was a creepy ashole loadmouth, to some of the folks up here who never knew me, when, as i have noticed one person acepts you , well otheres arn't so scared to a degree, hell he cann't be that bad,
plus i don't go away,
sitting right next to you drinking coffee and rambling and whinning about exgirlfrind bs, obsessions and stories,
Julie i think is 24 , smart, and real cute, but she has this biting presistancy like one of my old ancient exe, my a dare to evoke the name of j-low. Julie's style is very organised and smart and effective lister and debator for that mannor, not much slips by her in the comedy zone,
its alll that attentions seeking chicken aqusations i hear in an echoing distance lands , from an high toned enrage skreetes from a ol' j-low.

hummm then there is Anna, she is differnt from the rest ,.a Mexican from guadalahara(sp) speeks three languages, and looks very Fench, she had a classic French style to her, free and joyful. she is working over in the sculpture lab, its been interesting talking to her, well she mainly listens, as i go off on about something, she has outstanding skin tone and a great smile and laugh about her that is priceless, i knew her last semester, as a TA,.
so we all went out for drinks that evening,

we talk about relationships alot, the ins and outs of mens and women, excuss the pun on that one,
well as the night progressed i sorta spoke about what i liked with each person, i figured well this is entertaining, or therapy like , what their qualitys would be like an my reaction to being with each,
i guess i am getting older ,if could lay it out like that, ahh who cares they need to hear rantings lie this its entertianing.
Anna was the first, what i got into her about was her absolute femineness, she probably knows how to work a man or deal with him and not react to all the petty kinda stuff guys could go off on, i could see myself relaxing some where, , with here on the beach, out in Mexico, making painting and producing the next line of chickens,

, ---- Julie i would probaly say, would know who i portrayed myself to be cause we woud argue over my antics and refine my comedy bits or i would become more aware of them threw her. now whether they acepted it or put up with it, is another story, J-low tolerated it, but found it amusing as long as she wasn't a player, she would combat it to a degree, i could see Julie growing tied of it as i drove her to a nervious breakdown,
Anna would be like an asshole enabler for me , she would laugh "oooh hh George" in theis french acent.,! I feel brovoing my paternal side, but then i might knock off all that juvinel shitf anyway, i got a real woman, and real women, like real men, not some class clown
Alicia , i would say would probably scare me straight me, i would end up cloaking her and become focused on getting my shit together, what that might be i don't know, but i always feel outaa line about stuff, , her old fation an mans got to do what a mans got to do, you slap me outta chicken zone and into making some money for once in my life, i would start doing my laundry, and cleaning up a bit more, cause i would want to angry the little women, and boy i bet she could pack one hell of a punch too,
now
sruffy would be a throw back, if she was sain and all, i think it might work out, but whats there would be a challege of control and enthusiam, kinda like my last ex, they are real simular to a degree, both cheerleaders, both having this military side to them to, but Scruffy gets my hunmor in this macbre and extreme way, hell, she is enthused by it, but there there is art and money and respect,

as the night progressed me and scruffy got into it about being a Christian( one aside on this , this is one of my major fixations settleing down with a biblical insain women somewhere out in the middle of the steeped white trash planes and living the extreme artist proverty cabin life or studio while having a garden)

and Marrrige what it ment,
earlyier that day i made BBQ, over at the cermic studio and told her in an off handed joking way, "Now you would married a guy who made sause like that -(BBQ)! imagine how much care i put into that, imgine what sex could be like, with a man who could make suase like that, you would marrie a guy like that, hands down,! think what a man who could make BBQ sause like that could do to your nina, think of the care and love that went into these sause, ,.,what the fuck are you carzy,!"
ahh..,., you know typical bits and pieces, to this.
Scruffy is an excelent participant in this zone, she knows this kinda comedy well, and plays into it , she is the only girl i have meet who openly belches loud an laughs out loud alot in this giddy silly hysterialness, ? to it all,, the stalker comedy i did prepetuwate,
ahh so it goes and so it ends,

I guess in conclusion to it all i do enjoy talking to them about art alot, whats it like or all this bs about it, whats valueable, they have there own perspective about whats real and just stupid, its funny wondering what will become?

i have been flirting with that one crazed art chick, lets call her scruffy, she had got me all bothered about stuff, its like my mind is going bonkers, at night this unconscies side of me reminisent of my last ex, (the unnameable) . After i awoke from a nap today, i realised whats been going on, as an artist type, i realised we see with our hands, they are very conected, our mind explores with sight and feel , you know ladyes bods!,
its quiet troubling, because you get these impressions, i mean physical impressions based on how your hands seek out and explore the shapes of your companion and not to mention the weight of her on top of you.,
i think it must leave a record stored deep within your subconsices mind, waiting to be taken out an played with, during some quazr-dreamstate,
someing to do with odd moments left out of mind, and recoved in the suttles of movements of how you feel when your at rest. its very mysterious,

, . I do rember waking up and having sleeping amnieisa, thats wierd,
but the lady folks they do haunt me,

i am painting back in the CG zone, and trying to complete the last vestages of Highscore part too, but it did make ina interesting discover
X=mas lights and wire made into these like iconic Animal staues, more to come later, i have been trying to get more figureitve here, and i found out a way to start to make these thing, i got one Ox a bear and a gatoer comming up.,

Its almost like the old redford days here, there is no one around much and i spend my time, sorta going back and forth to the studio and back at my apartment, i am dwelling on stuff to much, mainly babe'ology, and ranting and complaining about stuff, over analising stuff,(tic toc tic toc syndrom)

this construction, is called "night stalker", an old intelivision game, i am doing its Atari clone called "dark caverns" next, i am going to try and get it as realistic as possible, no mechanics behind it, just the design. there were two other project done last "porkys" and a barbie doll game, or sktech,
i wanted to do another whole new set called "girls gone wild," all made from Barbie doll beach seens but sorta fucked up, its the whole doll sex stuff, to temping to be not made but , ahhhh,
could there be something more orginal,?
i was talking to one of the proffs about all this, and i told him that i like to make stuff that would be found in the back of a junkstore, , so we argued about the "outsider aestithic" i told him that if i left this out in the weather, the "Yars Revenge" piece and sat on it for twenty years and gave it to a junkstore, unsigned, with no place of orgin, it would take on the same mastique,
i think that statement came when he aqused me of making outsider art, the whole counterdiction, but i would say, well what is outsider art to begin with?,
what is it., its rejects. pile up somewhere,
its the treasure finds, and mystery very private

one time i told this dealer from the Floyd adventure, charlie, he was a treasure seeker, a picker, and i am a tresure burryer, or maker. (if i may be so bold) well less than a treasure becomes irratic nicknacks,.

this is a sculpture piece i am working on called Yars Revenge based on an old atari game, its a table top piece witht the mechanics of how the game works underneoth the table

View image this is the underneathe part of the game, each system or behavior of this simple game is made into a mechanical device, ranging from fake batters to moter shafts to falke electronics devices sorta a blue print on how it might worfk if it were real, now all i need is some yellowjackets to be the players

i shelved the headlinght paintings for a while, ill have plenty of time to combat that stuff in a couple of months, i am sorta trying to be done with the finnal set of this trap vedio games works, started with the rt ms pac man.

one of the problems of being up here is there is no break from the life style, back and forth to the apartment to my studio, i am becomeing blurred over it, words and ideas have no meaning, art topic don't make any sences, except i am gettign excited by this one book Kuspit "end of art", i am going to use it like my Bible

hum what else, i talk to this one lady, she is a whacky art chick, , reminds me of the later day whacky art chickes from SWT, she likes to party and what not, devorceee type, a bit too young for me, , i guess with gettting older i don't trust younger women, its too much for my ego to take them playing with an older guy, especialy when i think i am supior to them, the old macho bs, so i just avoid them but i do like to flirt, she is interesting reminds me of my last exe, she is energritc and likes attention, dances alot moves around, kinda hyper come to think about it.
one of the high lite of last semester , when it was thoundering and storming out, we ended up making out, funny cause i would have never thougth some one like her was interested in me, but it was a Cape Fear like night almost amazing, it ened up hailing that night, and we talked about making out, or doing it, not sex, but kissing etc, i think i was an imposing figure to her,.,

It get me thinkining about how men could have been with some one as young, well this amazing chick was only 27, not really young but she acted like she is 18 or something, but these guys who get with some one really young, maybe its my low self esteem about it but there is some maturity thing here thats missing,Y/N i guesss it goes both ways,

but being here freash ripe off my last relationship, the crowds here are not that optimistic about dating, its sorta a closed game,
i find myself sorta dozing off around the apartment, slipping between sentimental snuggles of my last ex and apocolyptic visions what the future may hold for chickens sex life...
, at least i am not drinking like crazy , i rember when i was out in Redford i credit the majpority of my "problem" with obsesions with the WWW-Deal, for being isolated and a six pack of natty talls with limes, you get all whacked out and dwell on stuff alot.

To say this is an odd sumer is right,
it reminds me when i used to be on NLBJ street in San Marc ohhh, 92-93, way the fuck back there, living in these apartments, but being here, its just not the same, i think i need to go to another counrty to be scare outta my mind and adjust to a new life, its exciting!

i am producing this new body of work, photos comming up, soon ill have an Gallery E show third one, on this kinda stuff, all about bugs and games, basicly,
i was talking to my new friend herald about all this, he is one of my only undergrad friends who calls me all the time, he is one of these odd inventor types, why he got an art degree? he spends most of the time plaing video games and wroking at Walmart, but we talk about women alot,
man, he reminds me of my slef back then, real sentimental and old fastion, wanting to have a girlfrined, , real nice guy , but kinda goes off into the deep end about his inventions in this serious and calmly spoke way, about bending lights rays and fixing gutters so squrls won't steel the nuts from them? , i could partly blame the new art pieces on Herald, he does little sketchs of idea he had about some new invetions, ,keeps lists of them too, Some the new work i am into is sorta spun in that zone of making real an old atari games,(il go into it later)

but we mainly talk about women alot, i love acting like the older kinda jadded crusty beer drinking guy who is giving him pretty bold advices about women a nd what not, (well is that really acting?) but it fun to go off about stufff with him he is wide eyed and basicly i don't think had anty one ask questions about sex and what not to him, , stuff like he you ever gotten drunk and had sex, or had a women do this or that?
i think he was engaged once, but she ran off or something,
another thing i go off on is money an subriabia,, which i don't think he has ever left, and then i talk about te glorys of being a bum alot, he will interupte to tell me , about some new invention he figured out like an antigravity machine, ,.
but none the less, i think he is a funny guy to hang out with, i am trying to get him to make more art,

but i am losing weight over this deal at least thats one thing i have going for me here, and the no drinking thing i am only going to do once a week, AC/DC reaffermation drunkenness, nessary if i want to fight on and kick some major fucking ass here,.,

I guess i would say, i have known Freddy for a long time,
He is leaving San Marcos, to go to Dallas, which marks an end of an era here in san marc for him.
Freddy has been one of my best friends over the years , i first meet him over in Kismet, a local art/resturant,. they hung college art, nice walls,. well Linda introduced him to me and we started chatting about what's art -etc, he seemed starved to have some contversations on art topics, and wanted to absorbe the local rhetoric by the college art crowds,.
, he want to see what they would throw at them, i always a glutton on art dialoges enjoyed talking to him and getting his unique perspective on art and life..

He ended up getting involved in the San Marcos Fine Art center and moved down to Hopkins street( a couple of houses down from me), he was living at Gary Job core for a while, (as a teacher).
His art has changed over the years from moody blues figures of musicians, tragic love seens, and the plight of living in the getto, to biblicaly cubists aligorys , now he has infused all this, into these more designly slick "issue" spun works all evolving out of the massive mural project he made in the Austin Carver center libery mural., After that project, he started designing space in more interesting fashion, an threw in a bit more Africain elements, or colors combunations,. The mural project, cause of humungus scale, changed the way he worked in creating interesting spaces, or compusitions,.

One of the good things about Freddy is we would always argue over art topics. his enthusaiam to argure over stufff or explore isssues is fun, we have a differt additude about what's a sucessful artist , and how to treat your work, (the whole serious vs casual) thing
Fredy was more serious, and it refected in the theames he painted and how they were painted, i like thorton Dial or a Swearigen, i showed him their work he was like ,
what the fuck thay cann't paint!
, He is an old modernist masters type, likes Picasso, MonteParis, Harlem Renisanses(sp) type of stuff ,Jazz &chess, geometric patterns and iconic figures.
His studio is overloaded with projects, and clean too, as clean as drek or even Serg!,

We also talked about politics alot too, interpitations of events, and exploring black vs white issues which are always fun and insightful

but one of the amazing things about Freddy is his capiblity to comand me outta a funk, when i get down about women, he has seen me threw alot of zones(girlfriends), and,
has learnet me to put a black mans approach to a white boys follys in dealing with women, . Now don't get me wrong, Freddy is a devout husband , fathered two kids, and a steadfast Christian, but he has realistic apprach to life, and this enthusiam thats make me sorta revamp my mascline side,
i would always say,... when in doupt, ....Ask
"what would Freddy do? hummm" some thing to think about.
We would argue about all kinda stuff, Serge, women, serious art, cultureal issues, i got to explore the black vs white issue, in a personal level, which i consider a privaliage to have had that experiance and talk about backgrounds and impressions dispelling myths, on the racial issues, .

Alot of his work deals with racial issues, and identiny. To address them in a painting is important. Sorta a warnnig sign or a delima he likes to investigate.
His unique perspective , (which if i am not mistaken was growing up in St.Luis,) finds issues or news issues and makes works around them, kinda like he is arranging an lucid story not yet complete but based onthe timeline thats at hand here in America.

i noticed that my lenz is fuzzy, on the camram i think this might be the refine met of chickens type of work, this kinda of paintings, losses expressive type of stuff, somthing with a haunted compusitions, but not to dark, .

the sculptures i am working on are repelicas of atari games, "Yar's Revenge" but these are makeshiftly constructed and put together if that would have actualy worked, no electronics,
the other game is "phoenix" this one is going to be a duzy, cause i am researching how to bread coach roaches ,
i have also two wal piecs dark caverns and night stalker,
plus a golden ox with it head cut off, and electronics spilling off it,
in retrospect i tlod jimmy i am morfing richies and jimmy sculptures, , one amazing quality i have seen about jimmy is he is a wizard with electoics and mechanic, so i am acting like him by making a phisical video game, i sat over there today remembering all the procedures for yars , how many things it could do and who , and well there had to be a devices to make it work , .

Who is Stevo,?
i have known him for several years, and we share some uncommon and mysterious links in the past, it wasn't untill recently he started to paint, has zero art training, and is a true San Marcos local, he started painting bunnys and then on to nutrias and nwt this more elabrate pictures with all them playing around in this ancient worlds, but his work is so dinky, that it takes on a life unto its owen, i prey he won't stop and i want to see where it goes with him, he is a perfect candidt for the folk art scene , but he doen't have much intersts in it,.
so if i was ever to open a folk art site, somehting like hays county folk heros i would put him atop next to furly and the recoverd works of the Charlie Brown.

looking at the show i wonder what prepelled brian to make such a instalation,?
to me the show is about space and gravity, . i think the way he works, is sorta on those lines, he constucts objects that try and define the space, in this case its the lite green strings hanging down form the ceiling, in rows of three, they are put against a dark green back ground, and, have this splinter effect of lite lines of glowing green , i guess all this is to to creat the effect of depth. the plaster cones at the bottem are like couter wieghts, hold the strings down.,
and
your surrounded buy the forrest, of tightly absent lines,

its been fun getting to know brian over the year, his work is conceptually cool in regard to the kinda work he likes to make, cool, in being its more about math or science, even know i know Brian isn't into it, those subjects, but it has this look to it, i believe its his taste, and he has the maticulas work effort of some one who would do tons of lab experments, on something,
he is a low key individual.

but he does have a sence of humor, and it been fun hearing peoples interpitation of brian here in school, he is quiet most of the time but from time to time, he will throw you one of those hillbilly Ten. stairs, while he shuffles back and forth, listening to you say something, (or wait maybe thats just me pissing brian of about something i said)

, if i didn't know him , i would have easly peged him as a labor camp thug, or some one junvinle delinquet detainee from a drunken night at mari graw, (sp) , but really he is a solf hearted kinda fellow, really nice and good natured.

Alot of his work involves the various arrangement of zipties and packing material, , sorta like he is creaintg an enviroments for play, . in some of the grievances about being here and making "serious " art, i felt he was really at home just playing with the material, and inventing serneros that migh inspire some one to wonder whats the logic behind it,

Where he is off to, much like Drek , i dont know, he and jimmy and Richie Budd are outta here, turn out into the great wide art sea to make their way,

Brian will probably continue on this line of work i could imagine, and pop out some more instalations.
