boy the sun is out its cool, and i am listening to the fight club sound track,
i am also redefineing my new websit,
i am going to pull about four "zones" from the past
i think thats the best way to just do this add and subtract from zones of work,

Ahh screw ebay selling, i go threw a love hate ralationship with the deal, one person told that, the same amount of work that could be a put into a twenty dallars sale could go into a 200 buck sale, so , i need to stop the ebay posting,its fun but only if some out there buys,
Its been one of the several conversations about the "value" of art, i am always an underseller, but i also make alot of work, too, a couple of my friends price way to high up, and i wonder like who the hell collects this kinda of work , in this price range, ?
i get into arguements about it alot,
i was in this group show over in this arty like theater, and i had as one of my prices,( six twelve packs of natty lite), some of the the artists are like , you cann't do that, when they were priced at 200$plus, i said well put free or a dallar, no one cares! i could put "ill pay you to take the thing", , beer is some thing i spend money on, so its a good trade,
it was chicken george work, so what the fuck , it don't matter,

"Who is gonna take you seriously,?" is an outcry i here from time to time, i think i am uncovering the old slacker Austin traits around here, in contrast to SA, the stradgy about it all is ,
at least I have always felt that once you switch gears in to the serious mind set your threw

, this thing takes on a differnt light, a differt animal you can see it here around here,
its just your mind making up stuff,! art works,! there is no art measureing gauge, ohh wait thats called shows, etc
i am likeing it to corrpate mentality, this ambitioin, like little badges of authority, humm that would be ok if we were in the army but this is art,?, its a society, something that if yu wanted to check out of you can,.

one of my favorite antidotes form here is this older lady said, "what are you doing to add to the contempory dialoge about art,?" i said "well thats not my montra, " well if your ever to be taken seriously your going to be have to be adressing serious issues,"
i rember saying " you know it seems like ever person with serious issues trying to participate in the the contemproy art dialoge is a blow hard, i think thr contepory art dialoge finds you, you don't potition it"

you have to keep in mind i failed a grade in elementary school and was in the bottem of my class rank, i had to prove to some of my old teachers in high school i was admited to a junior college, by showing them transscripts,,. well i liken this whole adventure of this, to this;
imagine you have a whimpy kid who was beet up by a bully, in school , then after school was done, the kid was training for 15 years while the bully got fat and lazy, but by then the kid was a gladiator, and you reunite them and lock them in a room for two years, imagine what might happen,,.

then it dawned apone me , that this last week is the halfway point to my departure in this zone, Exactly one year, form now Nov-Nov07 will be the last of being here and i am trying to figure you what to do?
The mid points to most projects are like a rollercoaster ridge the slowest point is the acts aright at the entry of the top or crest of the season, and since i arrived here, ins Aug, 05, its been a building up to this mid point as to what i am doing,

saturday night, hummm

well its saturady night here in the studio, it just doesn't feel the same
i had to clean this palce up a bit, it was getting outta control,
messy,
i am going back into these two project, sculpture, 99 bottles of beer , i started last year about this time, it seems fitting to go and complete the work.

Well its an overcasted saturday, quit nice, really , good coffee drinking weather,
i think i about killed myself in the poly tar krylor dept this last week i am tierd and feel real calm now,..,
i think i am going to try and turn the site into single profileing of one main paiece to two sub drawing realted to how this main piece is invented, kinda the comedy works and free assisoation it pluss from,.
the work will be shot on to ebay,
i had to pull ebay, for a while, this fucking store i have hays country deal was costing em 20 bucks a month, with little interests, mann,! i still plan on making a site, in the same zone,.

last night i went down to san marc ot deal with an outragious cell bill, geeeeze!, jimmy drowve down and we hung out with drek, josh and , VM
we chatted about the ussaly art ham rockery, over at the RED 10 warehouse,.

so whats next
two main projrocts for this show , in feb, one called the "the thing that eats things," and the thing that makes things,

it will be like the other two pieces i made this summer, but a little better, the tojan deal need alot of work and needs to get bigger, around december i am going to reactivate thing deal,

but for now, i have this new set to complete, and some odd projects left behind

i am getting prettyburned out on this project, need to shelve it , and reactivate it,
dealing with those chicken bones has left me with this wierd taste in my mouth i think its the hot glue burning old dryed chicken fleash, ,melted together, , it has this residual flavor to it

I think its like this with every project, i get just about there and quit, turn it awound and shelve it for another day, but when that day comes, i am relaxed to know how to stop it or make it complete, the final act of sumerising the whole thing, its nessary componetes,

one other story,
i wrote another story a day or so ago, but felt mortifyed about the story in some way i wish i would have never told anybody about this site, i could be more candid, about the art bizness,

Well one of the storys i would like to share is the top biggest collecting mishapes
, one being the lack of $$$ to buy the last gallery show of Evert Spruce, in 1993 over in Austin,
it would be one of my piviting experiances , as an artist,
why
well Evert Spruce , symbolises to me the godfather of Texas primative folk expressionism back in the 40-50, he and a bunch of like-minded folks set out to capture Texas in this surreal tone of its past fontei spirt, ,
well
it was the primative gone array, in the newly created art /school universites at the time,
well the story being is that i meet Spruce, and Charles Umloft, ( i thought this guy was dead along time ago) but he showed up tp Spruces gallery show ,
you have to keep in mind they were 80's plus, i mean these guys have seen everything, and they were the last two to survive into the 90's, well except Fearing and Farney, i think
but
litsening to these guys talk about how long they lived and were still at it,.
Spruce seemed bemiffed as to the value of his work , now being in the 90's, it was still affordable, 600- 1500, i could have bought a spruce 1940 drawing for 200$ unframed, ,, a rare ocasion, Y/N?
it was like you could feel the dealer collecotor vultures waiting, for the leap of prices,.

and its gonna be a bitch
i just blew threww hoours doing nothing but cutting cardboard, and hotgluing detiails to this thing,

"The daily Show" with john Stuewart", there are these funny sections on the daily show, they are like fake documentys or news sections where reporters do "investigations" inot real life America, Samatha Bee type of stuff.
Remebr that show "Real People"

one thing that got me thinking was how they find these ideas of skits on real people and them not knowing its a comedy bit, , This Real TV stuff is an odd ball, of theater and real life drama, i like it alot
but the dream about this is what if a prankster would have fake or skripted a bit to submit to the Daily show, and some how was considered for a "Real" target, but the people who produce this thing could figure out fake or wacko bits submited to the show, like a Springer, but some how the uniqueness of the bit would warrent a good joke or comedy
, so the daily show in efforts to keep this fake bit alive would contact a real news crew to conduct this interview, to these fake or skited actors they think are submiting a fake bit , but thay want it material of it ,.
and the people who perpatrated the hoax, realised the daily show was on tothem, and decied to find some one who fit the part of the original part of the hoax, so they'ere would be "real people" involved inthe skit , as to out flank the daily show, if they tryed to exposed the fraud, and dump the project,.
it would be like two sales people would meet with differnt aganda
to explore this newsevent
and the subject would play the part of the news,.
