Boy it was fun going down there with drek, Drek had a show in a place called Sound art, a local artist run space, in an old warhouse , they did a good job putting on a show, a good crowd truned out and there was alot of beer, to go around, the reception, i think lasted the longest ever, i have been to, like 7pm to 4 in the morning,

the space was or gallery was great!
The evening smelled of BBQ smoke, hell the whole town had this fog of smokers, it smelled like stake everywhere, man this is my fucking town!

its funny i was taking to somebody about all this election and culture left/ right liberal and conservative, i was telling one of my friends America is cough between to axioms one being socialist liberal Canada and Right wing cowboy nation anarchy of Mexico, both have very differnt views on the function of Government,. Laredo is the border an its a differnt culture sorta like San Antonio, I like the border, lived on it,. but i would always kid myself into asking, "man i wonder what a green peace east coast liberals obamaian would think of this.. things that make you say hummmm". the cultural fabric of Texas,, i would hazard to say, if anybody would say "live and let live," it wouldn't be a liberal, if they lived in Laredo, no they would say, just get me in the government we have some new laws to make!,.
I consider myself way more Tex Mex than anything, and i think art should reflect it, art conjured up from the soil..
