So i got this one show comming up in Laredo, then about a two or three weeks and i am off, to the desert again, this time its gonna be differnt

The big differance is going to be to things utube antics and an serious attempt to make work that isn't way out there, its going to be a more conservative effort. The last time in was out there was 2002, in Marathon, but as i think more about it it was like a precurser to the whole folk art deal, form 2003 til now so to speek,. I went out there to be gross, a spectical of sorts, like a white trash drunken maniac playing fatboy slim and wondering around the town etc, but the work made form the place was good at the time, sorta a carry over from the whole Chappel hill FV works, basicly abstactions but with creapy pop stuff throw in there, .. this time i think the work is going to be more about the landscape and this oddball attempt to update the idea of the west again, via justin and video etc,
the painting will be more realistic , i guess to the best of my capibitys
one stupid story about Marathon, once in the blisterin sumer heat out there some one game me this choclate cake i was eating it while i was walking around, you see, i was in the middle of this B&B tourist zone everything was real clean , James loved the idea i was there to junck it up a bit so i was walking around in this parking lot which was sand and dust, and the wind was plowing and all i had on was my shorts eating this cake, i thought man this tastes like shit! and dropped it ans spit it out and walked on, . well the B&B, "Adobe Rose" is what its called had a bunch of east coast tourist there and were watching me threw the window, the owner was talking about the wind, and dust devils , and there i was out in the parking lot spiting out what looked to be potted spoil,. he said the tourist were agast! and were scared to go to there car, cause i was out there like some homeless white trash guy, he said it was classic!, . As i got to know the folks, he said, (Tim Thayer) said the town is losing its edge, its becoming too friendly and we need safe fucks like your self to scare them up a bit, give them something to talk about on the road outta here,while they are traveling , and shit! your an artist to thats great!".. Well you can see where this is going..
it was fun while i was there but it started to get to me after a while, but if i only had utube , holy fuck!!!
