Crow town revisted

i ended up pulling what could be like the most earlist videos i had on utube dealing with the whole folk dual thing,
Utube -- or the evolution of the whole deal is acting like a v- log to a degree but alot of it is like comedy something funny i thought would make a good vid, it also appealed to my old horror side to a degree,.

But as i layed in bed last night after pulling what is left of the whole redmud folk dual deal i thought man i don't want to do this, but it sorta symptomatic of the whole curse of the ebay net folk deal,.
the folk curse, is to me making alot of works and posting them , its something to do in the day, i have alot ideas for sketches and painting but,,, they go for way to cheep, and its made me sell myself way to cheep, and keep me under the rug so to speek

i think i had gone on about this before, hell this whole site was sorta created as a folk thang to a degree, .,
but ebay and utube , net sales are slimm righ now

but back to Utube one thing thats fun about all this is that utube has created all these chapters of where i have been, and uploading video , its wierd, i have thrown vids all over the place, but utube is the main one i have to keep in mind its just a comercial site and shit could get yanked at any time..
but looking threw the videos last night, its like looking back in time, since i move around alot etc, from the apartment at RRSATX- to the shotgunhouse SA- to the studio in Brenham to the Books of BBQ deal, there as always been a constant tie, thru out the videos, that i was out to do Red in, like a stalker, (we talked it was fun and games basicly)

Don't worry all the vids have been saved, i just have to put them on my site, but at the rate i am going man , what one vid a week, it can add up
but what started on utube, me just sitting around my apartment, getting drunk and talking smack about red, turned into an ever rolling obsession on the scale of TB the way he used to be real competive about shit, i was really pulling the ol TB card on all this. the vids were linked up to my ebay auctions which i sorta credit the whole drying up on ebay was due to my nasty male creapy bad ass crap, it aint to arty for some reason. people don't like it.

but the videos that were made, ,, i think one thing i have learned over the years about this net shit is it acts like a abstract public thing, even this site who the fuck reads this? i can almost imagine who does my friends, my enemys and some people who think i am funny and make good art works,- but you get wrapped up in this shit as an artist,

i noticed alot of art site , in which you post your work, feeds you with stats and coments etc, its all there to draw you into measureing public interest in you basicly,
i think it starts getting wierd with artists cause they are trying to push their work and comments and crittism might jump in and what i tell alot of my art buddies artists are psychos, all it takes is the wrong thing to the worng person and bamb you have a "he said she said shit war," SA was kinda like that,
plus alot of them are drama queens-

When its just simple gossip thats one thing but alot of aritst have this overly inflated view of how they should be precieved by people and try to control it.
I remember some of my buddies in Austin were like this, worryed that somebody said something bad about a show they were in and was messing with the sales etc, networking etc
it can get out of hands fast.. when you start drawing lines in the sand.

ahhhh, but back to utube , for me utube isn't really like private v-logging its like a large stage people go up there and perform. It the nets idea of populas tv/movie making, i would be cast in that kinda light,. and as an artist you are selling something, mainly just entertainment basicly, its free, but
you get the benifits of the vid sorta taking on there own life and moving out to other places

but as i layed in bed i sort thought long and hard about the folk dual and ebay and thought well its an end of an era, time to move on, which i might ally to all folk activitys, ebay included, the problem is my taste in works are folkish always had been, maybe its time to change...

Ebay and utube serves as this weekly obligation to perform or do something anything, so you start to feel this need to push the script so to speek, when the utube stuff started, i told red to get on there and lets make some vids makign fun of each other but in the prosess indict all these other folk concepts we loathed. after that i started just going off on what i am into as an artist studio chat etc,
